The Washington Nationals beat Georgetown 16-0 (Box Score). Again several former Senators played key roles in the win.
Roger Bernadina started in CF going 1 for 3 with 2 runs scored.
Ryan Zimmerman started at 3rd. He only had one AB but had a hit and scored.
Frank Diaz PH and played RF. He was 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored and one RBI.
Javier Herrera relived Jesus Flores at catcher going 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s.
Ian Desmond started at SS. He managed to get 1 hit in 4 AB’s and scored a run.
Starting pitcher Jason Bergmann threw 2 no-hit innings. He struck out 3 and walked 1.
Collin Balester threw 2 innings, gave up 1 hit, striking out 5.
Mike Hinckley also threw 2 innings, giving up 1 hit, striking out 1 and walking 2.
