Cuts

The first round of cuts were announced today according to the Washington Post

Included in the cuts are:
LHP Justin Jones
RHPs Bobby Brownlie, Preston Larrison and J.D. Martin
C Javier Herrera
INFs Chris Marrero and Matt Whitney
OF Destin Hood.

LHP Mike O'Connor was optioned to Class AAA Syracuse and LHP Ross Detwiler was optioned to Class AA Harrisburg. These two guys were on the 40-man roster, which is why they had to be "optioned".

Obviously my roster changes a little with Detwiler being optioned to Harrisburg. The change would include either RHP Luis Atilano or RHP Hassan Pena starting the season at Potomac with Detwiler taking their spot in the Harrisburg rotation.

As for the other cuts my guess is Herrera, Brownlie, Larrison and Martin get assigned to Syracuse with O'Connor. Harrisburg will get Whitney and Jones along with Detwiler.
