Former Senator Whitesell Makes MLB Debut

Josh Whitesell, who played for the Harrisburg Senators in 2006 and 2007, was called up to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Many of you know that Whitesell was claimed off waivers by the Diamondbacks this spring when the Nationals tried to designate him for assignment. Josh played the entire 2008 season at Triple-A Tuscan where he hit .328, 26 HR’s, and 110 RBI’s.

Whitesell received the much deserved call-up on September 2 when the MLB rosters expanded. He has appeared in 1 game for the D-Backs going 0-1 with a strikeout.
