Senators Lose Bad

The Senators suffered their worst defeat of the season last night 12-2 (Box Score). Erie scored early and often, putting up runs in each of the first 6 innings.

When I left the game last evening the score was 8-0. Josh Hall was tagged for 7 runs on 8 hits over 3.1 innings. Alex Morales came in to finish the 4th and pitched pretty decent.

There were very few bright spots for the Senators last night on offense. Roger Bernadina was 2-4. He was caught stealing 2nd base in the 2nd inning. The call was very questionable as I was sitting on the 3rd base side and Bernadina was clearly under the tag and safe. Coach Stearns argued the call but it really didn’t matter. Andrew LeFave was 2/3 with a runs scored.

As I drove home Erie continued to pile on runs as the score reached 12-0. At this point I could not bear to listen anymore so I turned off the radio, put the kids to bed, watched some TV and called it a night.
