8-4 Win Moves Senators into First Place

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The Senators continue to roll as the won their 3rd game in a row after defeating Trenton 8-4 (Box Score)last night. Josh Hall started for the Senators pitching 5.2 innings, allowing only two hits and one run. Jimenez (2/5), de Caster (2/3), Montz (3/5) all had multi-hit performances and lead the Senators hitting attack. Montz and de Caster also connected for homeruns, de Caster’s 4th of the season.

With last nights win and Erie loss, the Senators moved into first place in the Eastern Leagues Southern Division!!!! I don’t even remember the last time they were in first place. I know the season is still young and there is a lot of baseball left but this is pretty exciting.

Players of the Game
Yurendell de Caster – 2/3, double, home run (4th of the season), 2 runs, and 1 RBI
Luke Montz – 3/5, home run, 4 RBI’s and scored a run
Josh Hall (pictured above) – got the win pitching 5.2 innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 run, while striking out 4.
