Happy New Year!!!!

Sorry for the lack of updates during the month of December. It was a crazy month. As you might remember my computer had issues, then I was sick most of the month with a sinus infection (possibly a cold and a touch of the flu) and trying to deal with the loss of my brother and not having him around on the holidays (not an easy task).

My 20-month old daughter, Maddie, has suffered from an ear infection since November. Late last week she had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic (hives, swelling, sleepless, etc…). Needless to say she might be getting tubes in her ears at some point.

Santa was very, very kind to my kids as he delivered several items on their wish list. Aside from my daughter and I being sick, we tried our best to enjoy the holidays with family and friends; “enjoy what we have”.

2009 is upon us and it should be an exciting year for Senators fans. Phase 1 of the renovation process is scheduled to be completed by opening day 2009. There are many things I am looking forward to in the new stadium; more on that in an article scheduled for later this week. Hopefully the Senators can continue to build upon the success from last year (their first winning season in forever) and make it to the playoffs. Although that might delay Phase 2 of the renovation, which is scheduled to begin after the 09 season, I think Senators fans and management are willing to deal with a delay to see a championship back in Harrisburg!!!!

What’s in store for 2009 here at SFU? You will have to check back and see. Last year I was a little more carefree with my ideas and posted them on here and many of them were “borrowed” (I’m trying to be kind) before I got to post them. Other sites/media outlets have countless paid (or unpaid) employees, valuable resources, and endless amounts of time to devote to implementing ideas and preparing articles. Here it’s just me doing all the writing, photography, trying to be creative and researching (with an occasional assist from my good friend Jane Bratz, which I greatly appreciate). Not complaining, just venting. I enjoy this site, and I hope you do as well, but it was frustrating to see the lack of creativity by others. Well, that is enough on that topic.

2009 should be a fun year both here at SFU and at the stadium. I hope to see many of you on the island this year.

Will

**Note**
I added all 7 images of the New Stadium design to my slide show/Flickr page.

Will - We are glad to see that you are back posting information on your website! Hopefully, 2009 will be a better year for you and your family, as well as for the Harrisburg Senators!!

Baseball America just posted their Top 10 (Nationals) Prospects - Jordan Zimmermann, RHP, is listed as #1.
