The Harrisburg Senators are to appear at the Harrisburg Mall on 2/14/09, 2009 Klubhouse Kids auditions to he held.
Also included in this article is a update on 2009 Fan Fest.
According to the Patriot-News:
"the Harrisburg Senators will be setting up at the Pavilion in front of the Escape Theater and will roll out a number of activities for children. They also will be holding audition for a boy and girl who will be the team's 2009 Klubhouse Kids. Around 100 kids are expected to audition. Related merchandise and the team mascot should also be in the vicinity."
According to the Senators Press Release:
"We expect this to be very popular so to sign-up your kids please contact Emily Winslow by phoning 717-231-4449 or via email at ewinslow@senatorsbaseball.com. There is more information available on the Senators website at www.senatorsbaseball.com. The deadline to sign-up for the Klubhouse Kids is Thursday, February 12 by 5:00pm. The Senators will make an announcement regarding the winners before the end of February."
2009 Fan Fest Update:
I asked GM Randy Whitaker if this will be Fan Fest or if this is in addition to Fan Fest and he said "This is specifically for the Klubhouse Kids auditions. Fan Fest will be later." Whitaker continued by stating "Fan Fest will take place on city island this year. The exact date and place is still being planned as the many variables of active construction going on are delaying the final determination."
In addition to the Senators set up on 2/14, the Phillies will make an appearance with the World Series trophy and the Phillie Phanatic from noon to 1:30 pm.

Will - Thanks for the updated information...I have been asking the Front Office staff for information regarding the Fan Fest.

If they are going to have Fan Fest on City Island this year, I can only imagine that it will happen in April in that case (probably a couple of weeks before the opener), not unless they are planning on rolling the dice, and hoping March will be nice.
