Flores Rehabs with Senators

The Harrisburg Senators have announced that C Jesus Flores has joined the team on an MLB rehab assignment. His assignment is expected to last until at least Thursday.

In addition RHP Carlos Martinez has been promoted from Potomac and RHP Andrew Kown has been transferred to the Senators from Syracuse.

LHP Yunior Novoa has been placed on the disabled list with a sore left elbow retroactive to May 21st.

With these moves, the Senators roster is at 24 active players plus four players on the disabled list and one MLB rehab.

FYI
Kown is 1-1 on the season with 3 saves and a 4.71 ERA in 13 games pitched between Potomac and Syracuse.

Martinez has pitched in 11 games this season for Potomac where he is 1-1 with a 4.21 ERA. He started 2 games this season for Potomac and is scheduled to start Tuesday’s game for the Senators. His ERA is considerable better as a starter (2.57) then as a reliever (4.82) this season.

Both Kown and Martinez pitched for the Senators last season.
