A late inning rally ended in a 6-5 Senators win over Reading(Box /game log).
The Senators were lead by:
Edgardo Baez 4/4, a double and 3 runs scored.
Seth Bynum 2/5, homerun, 2 RBI’s and a run scored.
Ian Desmond 2/4, homerun, 1 RBI and a run scored. By all accounts, Desmond’s monster homerun may have left the stadium.
The win was picked up by Matt Avery who pitched 2 innings in relief, allowing 2 hits and no runs.
Zech Zinicola made things interesting in the 10th as he struck out lead off batter, was ahead in the count 0-2 and hit Mike Spidale with an inside pitch. Kevin Mahar flied out to RF. Then Zinicola walked Quintin Berry to put runners on first and second. Brad Harman popped out to Rhinehart at 1B to end the game. Zinicola picked up the save.
