Opening night was a lot of fun. The stadium was packed with more than 4,000 fans checking out the various aspects of the upgraded stadium (the boardwalk and outfield seating won’t be ready until some point in May). Fans were treated to fireworks after homeruns and other in-game entertainment associated with the new video board. The Senators turned on the power switch and knocked out 3- homeruns in a 7-2 victory (Box / Recap)
One thing I’m not a fan of is the new start time. I know you are probably tired of hearing my complaint about the 7PM start time but it was validated last night (at least in my opinion). I had to change lens 3 times from 7 to 8. At that point I gave up and went home. Although I was happy that I made it home in time to watch The_Office, 30 Rock, and Southland.
I was drained from working all day and then photographing 2-hours of pre-game stuff so photos from opening night will be posted either tonight or tomorrow.
