12 in a Row...Game Notes 4/30/09

After 19 hits last night, the Senators could only manage to get 6 hits today in a 9-3 loss to Akron (box/recap).

Hits were collected by Marvin Lowrance (2), Baez, Castro, Whitney and Rhinehart. The Senators continue to struggle with runners in score position as they were 0/11 today.

Cory VanAllen was tagged with the loss as he allowed 4 runs on 8 hits over 4 IP. Josh Wilkie entered in relief and pitched two scoreless innings allowing only 1 hit. Adam Carr had another difficult outting as he allowed 5 runs on 5 hits, walked 3 batters in 2 IP.

9-3, not 9-2, to let you know.

Also, all of this losing, this cant be good for the morale of the team at all. Something has to be done here soon, even if it means shaking the roster up.

Thanks for catching that...

The inital box score showed 9-2 with only 4 hits. Not sure what the deal was with that.
