Bob Natal was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 13th Round of the 1987 amateur draft. He played for the 1991 Harrisburg Senators. That Senators team that finished the season with an 87-53 record but lost in the EL Championship game to Albany.
Bob Natal was the primary catcher for the Senators 1991 team as he played in 100 games (Joe Siddall played 76 games, Tim Laker played 11 games and Chris Hirsch played 9 games). Natal batted .256, 13 homeruns, 47 runs scored, and 53 RBI’s.
Natal was picked up by the Marlins in the 1992 expansion draft. He played parts of 6 seasons in the Major Leagues for the Expos (92) and Marlins (93-97). He finished out his playing career in 1998 with Durham (Tampa Bay) and Charlotte (Marlins).
I spoke with Natal several times after the 1991 season. He offered me various baseball tips/tricks. He was an avid baseball card collector and my uncle owned a card shop. At times I would help him get some cards he was looking for.

Bob Natal was another good Harrisburg Senator to play in Harrisburg.
