Senators Held Scoreless

The Senators bats were quieted today as they managed only 5 hits on their way to a 4-0 (Box Score) loss at Trenton. They were held scoreless for the first time this season.

Despite taking the loss, Marco Estrada pitched pretty well allowing only 2 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings. He worked out of several jams in the 1st and 3rd innings. He showed pretty good mound presence and stuck with his game plan. Unfortunately for Estrada, the Senators couldn’t find a way to score today so he goes to 1-1 on the season with a 4.50 ERA.

Only bright spots on offense were Mike Daniel’s 2-4 and Javi Herrera’s 1-2 with a double.

Player of the Game
Mike Daniel - 2/4
Marco Estrada - 5 innings, 6 hits, 2 runs.

Tomorrow's Starting Pitchers
Sunday, April 13 at 1:05pm RH Ismael Ramirez (0-1, 6.75) vs. RH Chase Wright (0-1, 3.00)
