Reading Phillies Series Preview

The Senators will be traveling to Reading for a 3-game series. The 6-4 Senators come into this series tied for first place in the Eastern League’s Southern Division with Reading and Erie.

The Reading Phillies have two former Harrisburg Senators on their roster, RHP Kip Bouknight and Catcher John Suomi. Bouknight, an all-star for Harrisburg in 2006, will start Wednesday’s game for Reading.

OF - Greg Golson is batting .350 over the first 10 games of the season (he DNP 1 game). Golson is tied for the team lead in RBI’s (7), runs scored (7) and is leading the Eastern League in stolen bases (7). I had the opportunity to watch him play last season and he was very impressive. Has tons of speed, good range in CF, strong arm and developing home run power. 5-tool player but tools are still raw and needs time to develop.
