Greatly Improved

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The Nationals farm system is now ranked 9th overall according to Baseball America (BA). In 2007 the Nats were ranked 30th, last overall. The 21 spot jump is the second-largest since BA started ranking farm systems in 2001. The Nationals have committed to improving the farm system by investing in scouting and player development, and it seems to be working.

What does this mean for Senators fans? Well, improved on-field talent which could lead to winning season. Several of the top 20 prospects (listed below) could suite up for the Senators in 2008.
